I was in the Chinatown area for dim sum and strolled over to the Urban Redevelopment Authority’s (URA) Singapore City Gallery at my sister’s suggestion. I was surprised at how much fun the gallery turned out to be. The gallery featured a number of fascinating miniature cityscape models. Time flew by as we busied ourselves identifying the Lilliputian-sized landmarks.

I have always loved craft and I tip my hat to the amazing people who must have spent countless hours building the detailed scaled-down models. I had a great time at the gallery and recommend everyone to pop by at least once to check it out. Admission is free to the gallery at the URA Centre (45 Maxwell Road) and it is opened from 9am to 5pm, Mondays to Saturdays.

I have passed by this wonderfully ornate temple several times and I told myself every time that I should stop and get some photos. I was in the area today and finally did so. The afternoon sun washed out a little of the colour in the photos but it was fun anyway. I think I’ll be back again in the future, hopefully with the morning sun and nice blue skies for a backdrop.

Went for a 10-km walk at the MacRitchie Reservoir Park yesterday. I didn’t take that many photos because the skies looked a little threatening at times and so we hurried a little. Even so, I really enjoyed the walk and the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 was a joy to work with.
