I just read Thomas Hawk’s post about a popular Icelandic Flickr photographer (and art student and single mom by day), Rebekka Guðleifsdóttira, who had her work ripped off and sold as prints by London-based company Only-Dreemin. The company got at least £2450 in their cash register, while Rebekka got no cash, no credit, nothing.

More information can be found on Rebekka’s Flickr post. I feel terrible for the photographer. This really really sucks.

Spread the word. Digg it here.

I was surprised at how much fun the gallery turned out to be. The gallery featured a number of fascinating miniature cityscape models. Time flew by as we busied ourselves identifying the Lilliputian-sized landmarks.

I have always loved craft and I tip my hat to the amazing people who must have spent countless hours building the detailed scaled-down models. I had a great time at the gallery and recommend everyone to pop by at least once to check it out. Admission is free to the gallery at the URA Centre (45 Maxwell Road) and it is opened from 9am to 5pm, Mondays to Saturdays.

The afternoon sun washed out a little of the colour in the photos but it was fun anyway. I think I’ll be back again in the future, hopefully with the morning sun and nice blue skies for a backdrop.
